Trail Use
Acceptable Uses of the Trail
In accordance with the Principals and Objectives of the Trans Canada Trail Foundation, the railbed trail managed by the Cornwallis River Pathways Society will be a shared-use Trail, accommodating the five core activities of walking, cycling, horseback riding, cross country skiing and snowmobiling.
The following uses have been approved for the Cornwallis River Pathways managed section of the abandoned DAR trail:

Bicycling

Walking/jogging

Pets on leashes

Horseback riding

Child mobility devices (e.g. strollers and tricycles)

Mobility aids & service animals (e.g. wheelchairs and seeing eye dogs)

Snowmobiling (December 1st of each year until March 31st of the following year). SANS permit required.

Cross country skiing/snowshoeing

Dog sledding

Authorized motorized vehicles
